Welcome to KakouCalc. These terms govern your use of this website, its calculators, guides, and embeddable widgets. By using the site you agree to them; if you do not agree, please do not use the site. They are written in plain language on purpose — there is no fine print doing extra work.

Educational use only — not financial advice

Every calculator, guide, article, and figure on KakouCalc is provided foreducation and general information only. Nothing on this site is financial, investment, tax, accounting, or legal advice, and nothing here is a recommendation to buy, sell, borrow, refinance, or take any other financial action. Results are estimates driven entirely by the assumptions you enter. Before making decisions that matter, verify the figures independently and consult a qualified professional who knows your situation.

Accuracy and its limits

We work hard on accuracy — the formulas are standard, and every calculator is checked against an independent automated test suite (see our methodology). Even so, the site is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that results are error-free, complete, current, or fit for any particular purpose. Tax rules, rates, and reference data change; simplified models cannot capture every real-world detail. If you find an error, please tell us — we check and fix reported issues.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, KakouCalc and its operator are not liable for any loss or damage — direct or indirect — arising from your use of, or reliance on, this site and its results. You are responsible for the financial decisions you make.

Your license to use the site

You may use the calculators freely, for personal or professional purposes, and you own the numbers you compute. The site's content — text, guides, design, and code — belongs to KakouCalc and may not be copied wholesale, republished, or presented as your own. Quoting brief excerpts with a link back is welcome.

Embedding our calculators

We offer an official embed widget on each calculator page, and you are welcome to use it on your own site free of charge, provided that: (1) you use the snippet as provided, including the visible attribution links back to KakouCalc; (2) you do not present the calculator as your own product or charge for access to it; and (3) your site does not pair the widget with unlawful, deceptive, or harmful content. We may update the widgets at any time and may ask any site to stop embedding at our discretion.

Acceptable use

Do not attempt to disrupt the site, probe or breach its security, scrape it at abusive rates, or misrepresent its results (for example, by altering a figure and attributing it to KakouCalc). That is the whole list — use the tools in good faith.

Advertising and third-party services

The site is supported by advertising (Google AdSense) and relies on third-party services for hosting and fonts. Advertisers are responsible for their own content, and third-party services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies. How these services handle data is described in our Privacy Policy. Links to external sites are provided for convenience; we do not control or endorse their content.

Changes to the site and these terms

Calculators and content may be added, changed, or removed at any time. These terms may be revised occasionally; the effective date above will change when they are. Continuing to use the site after a revision means you accept the updated terms.
